Kenesha is a powerful and soulful influential singer songwriter from London with a dark rich persuasive tone. Her music really has a freshness that embodies nothing but authenticity and memorably melodious with potent lyricism. She evokes memories of Tracey Chapman and Joan Armatrading. Kenesha released her debut EP ‘EYES WIDE OPEN’ on the 10th July 2014 alongside a promotional video of her song 'Hey I' filmed by On the Come up TV in May 2014 . Amongst receiving airplay and high recognition for another featured song from her EP, kenesha's song ‘ I hate the way’ was selected by Croydon radio station in June 2014 and was selected as one of the best new artist around at the moment. From working with the Barbican and Damon Albarn (Blur /Gorillaz) Kenesha’s music has reached an international audience and with her recent song: ‘Hey I’ reaching the final 100, for Ditto Music Austin Showcase ( USA) out of 5,000 plus worldwide. Last year HEY I received air play on Ktok radio station , international airplay in USA for her song 'HEY I' on Skope radio due to high requests for the song lead to extended Radio Airplay throughout 2014 and recently on Chat and Spin radio,Newcastle in july, August 2015. Her Song 'We go up and down' also received airplay in June 2015 on Croydon Radio station.Kenesha performed at Oxjam Clapham Summer shakedown Festival in august 2014 and the main festival Oxjam Clapham Takeover Festival 2014. A highlight for Kenesha was that her song ‘We go up and down’ featured onEP 'EYES WIDE OPEN' was chosen as the main song to Promote the Oxjam Takeover Festivals in a promotional advertisement video and was advertised throughout the UK during 2014. Kenesha had an Artist Feature in the well known, world wide We Plug G.O.O.D Music Blog for the best in new and emerging artists in December 2014.Kenesha has performed at many famous venues amongst them being the international acclaimed 'Charlie wrights' where she headlined and the Famous Troubadour in Earls court .
