LOCATION: Brighton, UKINFLUENCES: The Cure, Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth, Sun RaBIO:

We are Voodoo Rays a dynamic dark psychedelic/rock/pop band from the heart of Bethnal Green, East London and Brighton. Formed in the summer of 2010, we've been quick off the mark in establishing ourselves and releasing an impressive amount of original material. We're currently in the process of releasing our 5th album, 'Homecoming' a preview of which can be heard at:

www.soundcloud.com/foundrypress

also our back catalogue at:

Our style was once memorably described as "early Pink Floyd played by Sonic Youth" and this goes some way to explain the dissolute tension and darkness that pervades our sometimes unnerving experimental sound.

Our audience have learned not to expect consistency ; We play hard and fast with our back catalogue, whilst constantly adding new songs to our repertoire to keep people guessing.

We are a fiercely independent band and have developed something of a legendary status on the East London circuit, building up a fearsome reputation by word of mouth alone and by maintaining a frenetic gigging schedule around the capital.

Voodoo Rays have their origins in a long lost but much loved predecessor band called Parade. The members settled upon their new monica as a tribute to the seminal track by the legendary A Guy Called Gerald.

The band have finished the recording the 5th album and are in the process of looking for a distribution deal or anything to get the music out there.

The Voodoo Rays are Andy Symes on bass, Francis Elliott on guitar and Graham Hadley on drums
