Derick Knox

Derick Knox is an 18 year old lyricist from PA. Originally a poet, he began rapping after placing in numerous spoken word/writing contests in 2014. With diverse rap styles comprised of a chopper-like flow and multi syllabic rhyme schemes, he is surely one to listen out for. "My goal as an artist is to make rap more lyrical and genuine as a genre. Mainstream rap has become artificial, so there is no reason we should be feeding it to the youth and general population." Derick's influences include Big Pun, Logic, Eminem, and EDM. He is currently enrolled at Kutztown University.
